A girl at WW this morning who just finished her first week (and did amazing) said that she didn't change what she ate, she just adjusted her portion sizes. That got me thinking. Is that what I did? I really don't think it is now that I think about it. I think I'm more the opposite - I changed what I ate (to healthier/real foods) so that I could keep the volume on my plate. My plates at suppertime are usually full - but 85% of it is probably veggies and the rest is lean protein (which I've always liked). I've taught myself to like new veggies, I've added fruit to my diet (yes, some might say I'm still a picky fruit eater, but I'm eating way more now than ever before!) and I've added some new grains even. I am definitely a volume eater - and I think if you're making your "volume" up of veggies and healthy grains for the most part, then that's OK...what do you think? Are you a volume "good food" eater, or do you prefer to eat the "bad" stuff, but in smaller portions? Don't get me wrong, I still eat the "bad" stuff (no, I know it's not really BAD), I just eat it less frequently than I did in the past.
Thoughts?
